Life must continue...

So...

Lots of stuff has happened this last week. We went to a tournament, hung out with friends, made new friends, played insane mafia games, listened to music, watched movies, played pool, laughed, smiled, talked, talked and talked etc etc. :)

It was fun, tiring, exciting and all in all a great week!

But one thing I learned, was you can never be so sure about how things are going to turn out. No matter how much you are prepared, or not prepared, God has a plan, and whatever his plan is, that is what will happen.

David and I placed 2nd in duo. To me, this was shocking! We hadn't worked on our duo once since Clarion, and on Wednesday (the night before the tournament started) we finally did, and a lot of the lines had been forgotten. I was dreading having to go into the rounds for it. But, there was nothing I could do. I had to perform it, we had to do it. And every time God was gracious to us, and helped us through it, and somehow, just somehow, we ended up getting 2nd.. ah, God has such a great sense of humor :-)

Of course, the medals, trophies and award ceremony isn't what I'm going to remember in the years to come. I'm going to remember the things that really mattered. The friendships I built, the lessons I learned, and the way I saw God's sovereignty throughout the whole tournament.

Sometimes we often forget what really matters. We forget what's important, what we're really living for. I don't want to forget though. I want Christ to be my all in all, I want His light to shine, and most of all, I want people to see His light shine through me.

To God be the glory!

Anyways, all in all it was a great tournament. I miss everyone already! On Sunday night my dad and mom and all the little kids were able to come get us (Emma, Devin, David and I) from the Bradley's (since they had taken us to Idaho) and so everyone got to meet. As you can tell we got a picture of everyone together. Hard to believe that there's 16 kids and only 2 family's! haha :D We're all a lot alike, it's kinda funny... we had such a great time with them, and are so thankful for their hospitality :-)

I'm really looking forward to regionals! But for now.. life must continue, and reality is coming back into view. =)

Volleyball... anyone?

Volleyball is very much fun! Even if I am not very good at it.. :P But it's still fun.. cause, it just is. And yeah.. that's all I'm gonna say about that. =)

Anyways, do you like volleyball? (and you can say yes, even if you're not good at it, but maybe if you're not good at it you don't like it... hmm... I guess I should just wait for your response. Even if there may not be one... :-/)

Ok, so I probably should get back to practicing my speeches.... and that is what I am going to do.

Clarion Tournament

Well, the Clarion tournament has come and gone yet again this year. I can't believe it's already over. Quite sad... :(

David and I competed in our duo. We broke to semi finals, and placed 10th place (just two places away from breaking to finals :P) oh well.. it was cool! and at least we qualified for regionals!
Devin and Emma broke to finals (oh yeah!!!) and placed 6th! They are awesome!




I also got 10th place in my DI, not breaking to finals, but breaking to semi's and qualifying for regionals! Which is cool!

Then my persuasive, which was on anxiety and God's sovereignty, I placed 3rd in! That was pretty neat! God is so good!! :-)

In all it was an awesome tournament. I made new friends. Built stronger relationships with old friends. And just had an absolutely amazing time!!!


It was the first time we have ever been able to host a family as well! It was a ton of fun! We had Ted and Katie Bradley stay with us! They are from a family of 10 too! So it was pretty awesome :-) We met Ted a couple years back, but were able to meet his sister! They are way cool, and hopefully we'll see them again sometime soon :D


Every night we stayed up soooo late! It was at least 12:30, if not later, when we would get to bed. And then we'd get up bright and early (many times earlier then 4:30 am.) Crazy I know! But we figured, who wants to go to bed? I mean... at least we got 3-4 hours of sleep every night, but c'mon... it's not like we have tournaments every day? ;)

The highlights of the tournament for me were: Performing our Duo (David, you're an amazing duo partner btw!!! :D). Playing Sighs. Hanging out with all of my friends. And playing Nertz! Fun, fun, fun!!! :-)

::sigh::

Ah. I wish some things never came to an end. Saying goodbye is the worst thing ever! :( Sadness. Really! Oh well, what would life be like if it never moved on? It wouldn't be life.... I guess.... :-) I know, don't you just love how logical I am? :P ;-)

I'm hoping we are going to be able to go to more tournaments this season! We actually might be going to the Idaho one (::crosses fingers and prays!!!!:: =D) haha! And then we most likely will go to regionals..... I think! :-)

But all in all. I had a fabulous time! Made many memories that I shall never forget, spent time with awesome people, and learned so much!! Oh how I love tournaments!!! ahhhhhh! :) :) :) :) :)

Last night I had the pleasure of going to an amazing Christian concert with all my family, cousins, and some friends! It was awesome!!! We saw 3 different artists who all had outstanding voices and glorified the Lord through the concert! We actually got our pictures taken with each one of them, but they weren't taken with this camera (maybe someone else will post them:).

Anyways, I hope you like the pictures! I need to get going, I need to get ready for ice-skating! Yup, that's right! I get to go ice-skating, one of my absolute favorite things to do! Okay, I need to go!

Ok... so you might be wondering why the heck I'm posting this picture... well, Jonathan was so fascinated with this 'little' leaf. He couldn't believe that it was so small, and there were such big ones as well! It was so funny to watch him say over and over again, "Look, I got a little leave.. *then he's smile real big*..." He's so cute! :o)

This last Saturday my family was able to go to the redwoods and the coast, along with the Anderson's and some speech friends of ours. 

We all met at Albertsons to begin the day [yes... we were the last ones there... :P] We caravanned from there to the redwoods, and from the redwoods to the coast. When we got to the coast we ate lunch, and then begin to do various things, such as: run around, play in the ocean, climb rocks, get wet and build a sacred egg thingy:P It was really fun! 

After it started to get pretty windy, we decided to head over to a park by the river. It was beautiful! We took a little nature walk [well I guess it wasn't little, 'bout 3 miles, I got blisters because of my stupid shoes!.. :o)] threw rocks in the water, drank hot chocolate and had a wonderful time of worship. 

Then we headed back over to the beach to watch the sunset! After that we went to dinner [taco bell] and almost filled up the whole place! It was pretty awesome! Finally, after a long day, we began the journey home! 

In all, it was a very fun-filled-day!!!

Jared and the phone!

Okay, so a few days ago something very hilarious happened. 

The story begins-

My little brother Jared [who's 7] was going to call my dad, but he didn't know that dad at left his phone at the house [in other words, dad didn't have it]. So, Jared takes mom's phone, dials the number and waits. 

In the other room, I'm doing my hair or something, and hear a 'ring-ring-a-ding-ding.' I pick the phone up to see who it is and immediately guess it must be one of the kids. Thinking up something funny, I grab the phone and answer.

Me: "Hello?"

Jared: "Hi... umm.. hmm... is this.. my.. daddy?"

Me: "Ah, I'm sorry, you've go the wrong number." [btw, I was speaking in a Scottish accent]

Jared: "...uhh...*silence*... *beep*..."

I ran to the other side of the house to find Jared telling Devin of what just happened. He said, "I called dad and this person answered and said, "I'm sorry, you've got to wrong number." [btw, Jared imitated the Scottish accent] I think she was Spanish!"

I then told him that it was just me pretending to be someone else... he didn't understand at first. But, I think he's got it know. It was pretty hilarious.
